Fiddle Leaf Fig Propagation in Seoul, Republic of South Korea

The Ficus Lyrata is well known as a versatile house plant, however many people aren’t aware that you can easily grow them from leaf cuttings.  This particular example went from a leaf cutting to a rooted plant in soil within just a month!  The owner of this fiddle leaf fig features this plant and others on Instagram at @roms_room

February 2017

22nd February 2017: The mother fiddle leaf fig, where cutting was taken from

 

22nd February 2017: Fresh cuttings were placed in water and bright light

March 2017

11th March 2017: A week after the cuttings were placed in water, small white dots appeared on the bottom of the cuttings – these are the first signs of roots!

 

17th March 2017: Only two weeks after cutting, roots have grown significantly!

 

26th March 2017: Plants are healthy and growing well from original cuttings
