Growth progress of Pilea Peperomioides in Copenhagen, Denmark
Below is a Pilea Peperomioides grown in Copenhagen over a few years. The owner of this plant is on instagram @sproutandharvest. It’s an amazing growth progress and this is now a very stunning plant. Over the years, numerous cuttings were taken and these can be easily propagated. We will follow up soon with a post about how to do this!
My favorite plants to grow are the edible ones. But I also love flowers. And then I LOVE this little fellow. I've been searching for one since my birthday in february, and now i've found it. It's a pilea, can't be eaten, doesn't have flowers – but it's just so simple and precious. Welcome to the family! 🌿 #pilea #kinesiskpengetræ #greenisgood #anonymeplantesamlere
I love looking through my many many photos every now and then. Did it this morning and found my big pilea from the day I bought it last year in april. Happy birthday to my baby! And check out the growth! The plant originally had 12 babies in the tiny pot on the left, so you can imagine it wasn't very big. Well.. Here it is today, exactly one year and many babies later. Can't wait to see it next year 😍🌿
While I've been "busy", big Pilea mama has been busy as well – busy growing! Back in 2016 I removed more than 30 baby pileas from her, leaving just two big babies that you see are growing from the sides. She's been dropping quite a few leaves this winter, and she's soon approaching her 3rd birthday. Not sure how she will like a low light apartment, but we will see. What a beauty though! 🌿
